공항에는 국민의힘 한동훈 대표와 추경호 원내대표, 고기동 행정안전부 차관, 김홍균 외교부 1차관, 대통령실 정진석 비서실장, 성태윤 정책실장, 홍철호 정무수석 등이 나와 윤 대통령을 맞이했다

윤 대통령은 1호기에서 내리자마자 고 차관과 악수하고 30초가량 대화했다. 이어 한 대표와 짧게 악수하고 고개를 끄덕이며 인사했다. 윤 대통령과 한 대표는 특별한 대화는 나누지 않은 것으로 전해졌다.

On Saturday, October 5, former president Donald Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, for a rally less than three months after the assassination attempt on his life at the same location. This time, Trump appeared onstage with billionaire and X owner Elon Musk.

Trump’s supporters loved it.

A day before the campaign event, Musk posted on X that he would be in attendance. The excitement about his presence was palpable: On the road leading to the rally location, an electronic billboard flashed an image of Musk’s face and a rocket ship with text reading “In Musk we trust!” On a side road, where hundreds of attendees parked their cars, a Tesla cybertruck sported two Trump flags on the back.

On Sunday, a quote-tweet from Musk sent former president Donald Trump’s election odds skyrocketing on the election betting platform Polymarket.

“Trump now leading Kamala by 3% in betting markets,” wrote Musk. “More accurate than polls, as actual money is on the line.”

The day after Musk’s tweet, Trump was up by nearly 10 points on the platform.

The claims could have been taken word-for-word from any one of numerous US far-right websites in recent months.

“Reports are surfacing suggesting that [lawmakers] may have been involved in transporting large numbers of refugees and immigration applicants to polling stations to secure votes for individual candidates,” the author of the article claimed.

This wasn’t a conspiracist asserting that Honduran migrants are being imported into the US to replace swing-state Republican voters, though; the claim came from a website called The Irish Channel. A new report published on Tuesday by researchers at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue outlines how the website has used generative AI to create articles that have been “heavily influenced by similar election denial efforts in the US.”

This will be the first time the Harris campaign will stream live gameplay on its Twitch account. The event, which will take place at 6:30 pm ET, will include a live feed of Walz’s Arizona speech with Preheat, a Twitch creator, playing the game and providing commentary. Preheat is expected to highlight their connection to the campaign and encourage viewers to make a plan to vote.

Today, after a month-long suspension, X is now live again in Brazil. The platform had been suspended since late August after a showdown with the country’s Supreme Court, in which X refused a court order to remove certain right-wing accounts and content that the court said violated Brazilian law. After weeks of not complying, it seems Elon Musk has caved.

Brazilian Supreme Court justice Alexandre de Moraes authorized X’s return after the company blocked profiles accused of disseminating false information, reappointed a legal representative in the country, and paid fines that amounted to 28.6 million reais ($5.1 million).

Politicians and right-wing influencers have spread conspiracy theories online suggesting that Hurricane Milton has been geoengineered by nefarious forces, with the end goal of preventing Republicans from voting in the presidential election.

“Milton looks like another man-made storm, and it looks like Trump voters are victims. Is this really what’s happening?” wrote one user on X. “Biden and Harris are messing with the weather! Hurricane Milton was sent to Florida just like the other hurricane to wipe Florida out!! They know those are mostly Trump supporters who live in that state, so 85% of them won’t be able to vote next month,” wrote another.

On Monday, former Fox News host and right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson released an interview with billionaire and X owner Elon Musk. At the 19-minute mark of the 108-minute-long interview, Carlson takes a break to talk about one of the show’s paid partners, the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation. Carlson then goes on to describe something that sounds suspiciously like Project 2025, the Foundation’s highly controversial road map for a second Donald Trump presidency.
